Dear Parent or Guardian,
We know that it is expensive to send your child to Camp Endres, which is why we wish to help in any way possible. There are many ways you can help raise money to send your camper to Camp Endres. Fundraising is a wonderful way to raise money for camp, and scholarships are available.
Hundred X Surveys and Fundraising
HundredX Survey Fundraiser
For the last 3 years, we have hosted our HundredX Survey campaign where participants would complete surveys and help raise money for DSOK and Camp Endres. In an effort to assist our families in these tough times, this year the HundredX Surveys can benefit your camper! For each 75 surveys you complete (25 surveys for 3 days), you can receive a $50 credit to any Camp Endres 2024 program! Independant Fundraising
FRIENDS AND FAMILY
You can have your friends and family donate directly online by following this link https://dsok.net/get-involved/sponsor-a-camper/, make sure they specify your camper's name when they donate.
Facebook Fundraising is another great way to raise money for camp! If you complete a facebook fundraiser to raise money for a camper, please email Cada@dsok.net with the name the fundraiser was started under and the camper name for the credit to go to.
Diabetes Solutions can also accept checks or Venmo payments for your camper. Make sure to include in the memo that the payment is to sponsor a camper, as well as who the payment is for.
OTHER WAYS TO FUNDRAISE
There are many ways to raise money for your camper to come to Camp Endres! For example, in 2022, we had a camper raise over $600 from a lemonade stand they advertised on Facebook and other social media platforms. Another family hosted a spaghetti dinner then asked their guests to make a donation to DSOK to help sponsor their camper to attend camp. There are many ways to do this. Here are other ideas of who might be willing and able to help:
- Local community and civic groups such as Lions Club, Rotary, Junior League, Kiwana’s, Eastern Star, Elk’s, VFW, Mason’s, Chamber of Commerce, etc.
- Your employer. Ask if you could send flyers to individuals within the business or ask about corporate sponsorships
- Church congregations and groups within such as women’s, men’s or youth groups
- School administrators, student council, school clubs
- Hobby clubs (such as quilting, model rockets, planes, trains, or automobiles)
Scholarship Informaion
How to Apply for a Camp Endres Scholarship
To apply for a scholarship to Camp Endres, the first thing you will need to do is register your camper for their camp session. When registering your camper, you will need to pay a $25 down payment to hold your campers place at camp. Once you have registered the participant, CampDocs will open the Health Profile. The very first section in the Health Profile is the Scholarship Form. This needs to be completed as soon as possible for your camper to receive a scholarship. This entire section must be completed for your camper to be eligible for a scholarship.
Scholarships are limited, so please keep this in consideration & try to complete this as soon as possible.
Information Required for the Scholarship Form
Endres Scholarship Policy Agreement. We understand that by applying for a scholarship
to attend Camp Endres, we are subject to the following terms:
1. Completion of Scholarship Application:
● We agree to fill out the entire scholarship application form accurately and
honestly.
● We understand that failure to provide all required information, including a copy of
our last year's 1040 tax form, may result in the application being considered
incomplete and thus ineligible for a scholarship.
2. Compliance with Camp Policies:
● We acknowledge that if the camper is awarded a scholarship, they are expected
to adhere to all Camp Endres policies and guidelines.
● Any violation of camp policies may result in the forfeiture of the scholarship, and
the camper may be asked to leave the camp program.
3. Future Scholarship Eligibility:
● We understand that if the camper fails to comply with camp policies while
attending with a scholarship, they may not be eligible to apply for a scholarship in
the future.
4. Agreement to Camp Endres Terms:
● Campers may be asked for pictures, thank-you notes, and/or additional
information while at camp to be sent to sponsors for scholarship-verification. We
agree to allow DSOK Camp Endres to send this information to the appropriate
entities.
● We agree to abide by all rules, regulations, and instructions provided by Camp
Endres staff for the duration of the camp session.
● We understand that any failure to comply with camp policies may result in
disciplinary action, including dismissal from the camp program.
5. Acknowledgment of Responsibility:
● We acknowledge that it is our responsibility to ensure that the guardians and
camper understands and follows all camp policies and guidelines.
● We acknowledge that it is our responsibility to ensure the scholarship form is
completed in an appropriate time to receive a scholarship.
6. Signature:
By signing below, we affirm that we have read and understand the terms and conditions
outlined in this Camp Endres Scholarship Policy Agreement. We agree to abide by these
terms for the duration of the camp session.
Note: This agreement must be signed by both the camper and their parent/guardian to
be considered valid. Failure to comply with the terms of this agreement may result in the
forfeiture of the scholarship and other disciplinary actions deemed appropriate by Camp
Endres staff.
When will I know the outcome of my scholarship application?
Scholarship Applications are reviewed the first and third Friday of each month starting in March. It is important that you complete the scholarship form asap to be considered for a scholarship. After you have completed the Scholarship Form, please make sure to complete the rest of the Health Profile as soon as possible. You will receive an email from CampDocs once your scholarship has been applied. Please be on the look out for an emailed labeled Account Update.
